To apply for spouse of a permanent resident or a special permanent resident, it needs to be legally married. This visa is not applicable to common-low marriage.
A child of a permanent resident or a special permanent resident means one’s own child or an acknowledged child who was born outside of marriage, in Japan.
The requirement is that birthplace must be in Japan. Even though the mother of a child is permanent resident visa holder, in the case that the child was born oversea, the child cannot apply for this visa.
The marriage must be legal.
